At a Loss for Words

....and the truth is, that doesn't happen to me very often. I don't know if it's simply the "in your face"-ness of the photos from Abu Ghraib, or the deep-seated awareness that this is indeed the very tip of the iceberg, or the recurring realization that war dehumanizes all of those involved, on either side, by either side, but whatever it is, I haven't been able to touch any of this.

I'm sure I'll come back, but the ugliness has, for the moment, gotten byond me.
