Christian Nation 1.1

It occurs to me, rereading the Texas GOP platform referenced in my last post, that in the particular section that deals with their proclaiming the United States a Christian nation, they go on to recognize that the "nation was founded on fundamental Judeo-Christian principles." Think about that for a second. By acknowledging that shared heritage (Judeo-Christian) while at the same time proclaiming this a Christian nation, they're actually going out of their way to exclude Jews. Crazy.

And yet, as the original article made certain to mention, "The majority of Texas Jews consider themselves Republicans, and the GOP is also well represented among Buddhists and Muslims in Texas." Strange days, these.
